MAC studio tech foundation

This is my first ever MAC foundation and yes now I know my own MAC colour is NC 43!! This is a cream foundation and so far I love it. I was a bit unsure of trying it because the MAC prep and prime for eyes irritated my skin so I thought that all their face products might have that effect too. Thankfully this one works wonders! It melts as soon as you touch it; I apply it by first using a foundation brush to smear it on my skin then using a buffing brush I blend it out. Speaking of blending its nice and easy and the coverage I would say is light to medium but I am sure you can build it for a fuller coverage. I use it very sheer. Also I have heard that many people recommend it as a concealer rather than a foundation…and yes I can see where they are coming from it can work as a concealer dupe. So if you are looking for a 2 in 1 foundation this is wonderful. 

Ecotools bamboo 6 piece brush set

A cool brand that’s totally earth friendly!! A note on all their brushes….very soft and have sturdy handles.

Blush Brush

A dense brush that’s tapered and quite flat although fluffy still if you know what I mean. Their brushes are super duper soft but this one takes the ultimate softie crown! Beats my MAC 168 any day and this is so much less costly. I have found this perfect for my finishing powder and powder foundations. It even works great at buffing out my MAC studio tech cream foundation.

Eye shading brush

The shape is unusual in that it is flat and comes to a point rather than being a regular paddle shape like most eye shading brushes are. For this reason I find its not that good for packing on eye colour but rather better for under brow highlight.

Concealer brush

A typical concealer brush….but denser so much nicer for its purpose.

Eyeliner brush

Now I don’t have many eyeliner brushes but this is my best one so far. The other day I used it for my Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner and it made it all so easy to apply. Most eyeliner brushes are not stiff enough and have shorter handles, this brush is the opposite yay!

Lash and brow groomer…I don’t really use these that much but its good I guess for unclumping your mascara.

Lastly the brush roll ! Made of eco friendly materials and just pop your brushes into the roll and it makes a great little travel kit.
